When we first began designing web sites, we looked for the ideal CMS - we didn't have the time or luxury to gamble on a system that failed, was difficult to make additions to or took ongoing training time for our clients. And we couldn't find anything good enough.

So we looked at the commercial products. And some of them were great. But then we looked at the cost, and we looked at the difficulty of getting bugs squashed. And then we saw how hard they were to use.

That's why we built our own.

While Steer CMS is a commercial product, it is cheap, simple to use and simple to maintain. And when you buy a license to use Steer CMS, you also get the source code.

And Steer CMS is written for interoperability and protability. So even if you decide to never talk to us again, your site is never anything but your own.
